Modesto AC Pros is an advertising and referral service operated by Pinecrest Advisory Services, LLC. This page explains exactly what that means.

We are not a heating and air contractor

We do not repair, install, maintain or inspect furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps or ducts. We hold no contractor licence and make no claim to one. Every job discussed on this site is carried out by an independent local heating and air company with which we have a referral arrangement. In California that company should hold a C-20 licence from the Contractors State License Board.

What happens when you call

The telephone number on this site is a tracking number operated by us. Calls to it are forwarded to the independent heating and air company serving your area. Calls may be recorded. You will hear an announcement to that effect before the call connects; if you would prefer not to be recorded you can end the call then and use the request form instead. California and Florida, where this site is operated from, both require the consent of all parties before a call is recorded, and the announcement exists so that consent is informed and given first. Form submissions are stored by us and passed to the same company.

How we are paid

The heating and air company that receives your enquiry pays us, either a fixed monthly fee for the enquiries this site produces or an amount per enquiry. You are never charged. What you pay for the work is between you and the company; we do not mark up their prices and take no share of the job.

What we do with your details

Your name, phone number and the description you give are passed to the company so it can contact you. We keep a record of enquiries to tell whether the site is working. We do not sell your details, and we do not send them to several companies to bid against each other.

Reviews, ratings and photographs

There are no reviews or ratings on this site, deliberately. The site has no review history of its own, and publishing testimonials we did not collect would be inventing one. Photographs are licensed stock imagery, and none is presented as a job anyone carried out.

If something goes wrong with the work

Your contract for the repair or installation is with the heating and air company, so its warranty and its terms apply, and that is who to raise a problem with first. If a licensed contractor's work is not resolved to your satisfaction, the Contractors State License Board takes complaints about licensed contractors, and its Check A License page shows any public complaint disclosures. Tell us as well: the arrangement depends on the company we send people to treating them fairly, and we can only act on a problem we hear about.
