About this site
Modesto AC Pros is an advertising and referral service for furnace and air conditioning work in Modesto and the towns around it. We are not a heating and air company and do not do the work. You should know that before you call.
How it works
You call the number on this site or send a request. That reaches us, and we pass it to one independent local heating and air company that serves your area. They call you back, look at the system, quote, and do the work. Your agreement is with them. There is no charge to you for the introduction, and your details do not go to a list of companies who then compete for you by phone.
Why it exists
Search for furnace repair in Modesto and the top results are directory listings and a Stockton company's page about West Modesto. Some of the best small heating and air outfits in Stanislaus County have a truck, a licence and a full calendar and no particular interest in websites. This site is a front door for that kind of company, and a place to put the local advice that the directories do not carry.
What the advice is based on
The guides here are written for Modesto: its fog-season winters and 100-degree summers, housing that is mostly from the 1970s and 1980s, the City of Modesto and Stanislaus County permits, MID's 2026 rebate catalog, and the Valley's air quality. Where we could not verify something, such as a fee that changes or a rule that varies by address, the page says to check with the city, MID or TID rather than guessing.
What this site does not have
No testimonials, star ratings or photos of finished jobs. We have not done any of the work and did not collect any reviews, so publishing them would be inventing a track record. The photographs on the site are licensed stock and are not presented as anyone's work. Judge the site on whether the advice is accurate and useful.
Licensing
We hold no contractor licence and make no claim to one. Heating and air conditioning work in California is licensed by the Contractors State License Board under the C-20 classification, and any company we pass your call to should hold one. You can check any licence, including its bond and workers' compensation status, with the CSLB's Check A License search at cslb.ca.gov, by licence number, business name or a person's name. Ask for the number; a legitimate company gives it without hesitation.
Who runs it
Modesto AC Pros is operated by Pinecrest Advisory Services, LLC. The company is paid by the heating and air company that receives the enquiries, never by you. The advertising disclosure page sets out the arrangement in full.
Questions people actually ask
How do you make money if the call is free?
The heating and air company that receives the enquiries pays us for them. You pay that company for the work at whatever you agree. Nothing you pay is marked up by us.
Is this one company or a list?
One local company for your area. Your request is not sent to five contractors to bid on. If they are not the right fit for the job, they should tell you.
Can you tell me which company it is?
Ask when you call. The company introduces itself when it contacts you, and you can check its C-20 licence before anyone comes to the house.
What if the repair goes wrong?
Your agreement is with the company that did the work, so their warranty applies and that is who you take it up with. Tell us too. The arrangement only works if the company we send people to does good work.
Can I see reviews?
Not from us. The site has no review history of its own, and we would rather say that than make some up. Ask the company for references and check its licence.
